Rainy Day

Is it just me, or are rainy, foggy days actually pretty enjoyable? There’s just something beautiful about the fog, I love the overall dreamy feel it gives you.

Do you like rainy days? Why, or why not?

Gaining 1000 Fans In 50 Days: UPDATE

Howdy folks! I’ve been working on connecting with more people via SoundCloud! Check out my last post to see the challenge I set out to complete which will hopefully help me gain 1000 new fans in 50 days, and 17,300 in a year. It can work for you too.

So far I’ve sent out about 70 genuine messages and listened to tons of tracks from great artists on SoundCloud. My goal is to connect with these artists and give them feedback on their music.

So far, the response has been quite good, I’ve increased my followers on SoundCloud by about 30.

I’ve been getting a lot of plays and comments on my SoundCloud page as well, which is really awesome!

Keep checking back to find out more about how this venture is going!

Life Is Like A Video Game

Life is like a video game. Despite what your mother told you as a child, or still tells you, life is a lot like a video game. Here’s why.

1. You know you’re on the right part when they’re shooting at you.

One of the most frustrating parts of any action/shooter game is when you’re trying to find the correct way to go and there’s no enemies in your path.

How does this relate to life? Well, in life you’ll come across the kind of people who want to keep you in the “lost” zone. The zone where you don’t know what to do with your life. However, when you find the right road or path, these people will shoot you down relentlessly. This is just like when you find the right path in a video game and the enemies suddenly pop outta nowhere and start firing.

2. Life is full of useless, mindless drone-like people being controlled by larger “bosses”.

Most video games have those bad guys that don’t really seem to have much of a purpose in the real storyline or plot, besides providing you with target practice for the bigger fish you need to fry.

In life there are many people who are just there to hold you back. They don’t have much of a purpose themselves except living up to others’ dreams and expectations, and so they fail to understand why you should be allowed the right to be an individual, make your own choices and chase your own dreams.

And lastly…

3. The graphics are stunning.

🙂 Have a good one everybody! Hope I made you all think a bit.

There was a young man who said, “Though,
It seems that I know that I know,
What I would like to see,
Is the eye that sees me,
When I know that I know that I know.” ~ Alan Watts

Thinking about Thinking

One of the most fascinating, yet detrimental abilities human beings possess is the ability to think about our own thoughts. For some, this is proof of man’s intelligence and superiority over the animal kingdom, this self-consciousness. While this can be a great advantage and source of self-inquiry, I also believe most of the ills we face in life are due to our inability to STOP this incessant thinking about thinking. Much like your own eye, the more you can actually see it(cataracts), the less effectively it is really working. This clouding of thoughts interpreting thoughts can lead to confusion and mental blindness.

How often do we…
